![]() GreenGo Recycling Solutions is proud to announce a new environmental strategy in conjunction with Affinity Electronics of Canada. Together we are initiating a complete closed loop recycling program for all electronic waste, offering customers and vendors a responsible alternative to landfill or waste exportation for all of their unusable or damaged goods. All of the electronic waste collected will be processed domestically in North America via closed loop process that is 100% downstream auditable, meaning you can be sure that your waste is being handled by responsible processors in an environmentally friendly fashion. Imagine purchasing and recycling all with one company, simplifying your product cycle while going green. Contact us today to find out how. |
2007-07-06 An Inconvenient Conversation - EU Hold Old Cellphones Giving Issues to Recycling Mandates An interesting article from REUTERS states that the Euporean Union's inadvertant hording of old mobile phones is hampering policy objectives to raise levels of battery recycling in next several years. The article outlines that the European Battery Recycling Association (EBRA) directive for a quarter of batteries sold must be collected by 2012 and then 45% by 2016. Rechargable batteries which contain the most valuable elements for the production of laptops and mobile phones are in the greatest demand with the boom in these portable devices. For info and how the EBRA is handling the issue check out the New York Times posting: "Hoarding Old Mobile Phones Slows EU Recycle Drive" |
